See Blue Guard Innovations Smart Switches & Sensors At Pacific Marine Expo November 18-20, Booth #1008
NOV 15, 2018
Boulder, Colorado (USA) — The Blue Guard Innovations (BGI) range of smart switches & sensors, which are capable of detecting oil and fuel in bilges and high water, will be on display in booth #1008 at PME 2018, November 18-20 at the CenturyLink Field Event Center in Seattle.
The innovative, patented range of solid-state smart switches and sensors detect oil and fuel as well as water in the bilge and engine compartments, preventing them from accidentally discharging overboard.
The flagship product in the BGI range, the BG-One, was the winner of a product innovation award at IBEX last month and was been nominated for a DAME Design Award and given a special mention at METSTRADE in Amsterdam this past week.
The BG-One functions as a bilge pump switch that helps prevent oil or fuel from being pumped into oceans, lakes and waterways.
The BGI range also includes the BG-SWA, a combined bilge pump switch and high water alarm.
IP-68 rated, CE and ISO 8846 Marine Ignition Protection Certified and tested to ABYC-1500 standards, and comply to USCG 46 CFR 28.250 & 182.530 for the High Water Sensor. The BG-SWA Solid-State Bilge Pump Switch with High Water Alarm is a highly reliable bilge pump switch that is the ideal replacement for unreliable mechanical float switches with an integrated high water alarm.
The BG-SWA uses two integrated sensors to detect liquid in the bilge while activating the bilge pump. With no moving parts that can be jammed or damaged, the BG-SWA is built to outlast all the mechanical float switches on the market while alerting of water presence in the bilge.
The BG-SWA also offers programmable splash protection, which can be used in rough waters or foul weather conditions to prevent false pump activation which can result in the pump running dry.
The BG-SWA can be configured and tested and its status can be viewed using the BGI Config App, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. The App is used on a mobile device with Bluetooth to wirelessly connect to the BG-SWA device.
