The Smart Mate Oil and Fuel Sensor (SM-Oil) combines the proven sensor technology of our BG-Oil with the ability to directly connect to the Smart Skipper™ system. At the first sign of oil/fuel, an alert will be sent to all connected users as well as activating the alarm output (1 Amp max).
The SM-Oil senses the presence of oil and fuel. Place the SM-Oil in a strategic location, such as the engine, fuel, or steering compartment where puddling of oil/fuel is most likely to occur. Installing the SM-Oil will provide an early warning for spills in these environments. With precise oil and fuel detection accuracy down to 1 mm (0.04 in), the SM-Oil triggers an alarm when oil or fuel is detected (1 Amp max).
The internal backup battery will keep the SM-Oil connected in case of a power failure and alert you to a potential problem.
The SM-Oil also comes with one alarm input to be configured how you want. For example, you might want to add a high water alarm in the same compartment.
Each SM-Oil comes with a mounting bracket that attaches horizontally to the bulkhead or hull with #8x0.75” 316 stainless steel screws.
